James R. Keller, AIA is an architect and author whose passion is working with Libraries and Architects to translate ideas into interior and exterior physical space. Mr. Keller works with Library Boards, Library Professionals and fellow Architects to explore the “why” of each Library and how to successfully serve people through re-imagining access, services, buildings, furnishings and technology. Mr. Keller is a leader in Planning and Design for Libraries. With librarian Sandra Feinberg he co-authored “Designing Space for Children and Teens in Libraries and Public Places” ALA Editions. As an advocate for the power of design to transform Libraries, Mr. Keller has provided leadership for over 100 new and renovated Libraries on three continents. The evolution of the Library is global in this time of technological and social change. The mission of J R Keller, LLC is to facilitate and assist Libraries and Architects worldwide to realize transformative solutions in the physical environment.
