Branton Strategies helps local governments, community development corporations and other non-profit organizations develop successful strategies for combatting blight and returning vacant, abandoned and tax-delinquent properties to productive use. Winnie Branton is the Principal of Branton Strategies LLC and serves as an independent consultant to the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania. She wrote The Pennsylvania Land Bank Resource Guide, a comprehensive guide for local and county governments to assess whether a land bank is right for their community and, if so, how to proceed with planning, funding, organizing, and operating a land bank. The Guide was published by the Housing Alliance in May 2016. Prior to establishing Branton Strategies in 2014, Winnie practiced environmental and land use law in the public and private sectors for more than 15 years, advising clients on regulatory compliance, permitting, land development, remediation, community relations, and government affairs.
