The Blue Door Group designs, facilitates, and teaches interactive process for learning and capacity building. Our work focuses on four main areas: 1) Teaching participatory approaches to education and facilitation; 2) Organizational capacity building; 3) Diversity dialogues and intercultural communication; and, 4) Community-building and engagement.

1) Teaching participatory approaches to education and facilitation 

Teaching trainers, organizers, and managers how to design and use interactive and experiential approaches to education and group work in their teaching, facilitation, and meetings. 

2) Organizational capacity building

Designing and facilitating strategic planning and visioning processes. Designing curriculum and facilitating trainings on communication skills, trauma-informed education, and crisis intervention for front-line workers, as well as supervisory and leadership skills for team leaders. 

3) Diversity dialogues and intercultural communication

Facilitating dialogues on difficult topics such as race and class divisions. Designing and facilitating workshops on communicating across cultures. 

4) Community-building and engagement

Designing projects and facilitating processes for connecting people, including arts-based programs, coalition-building events, and networking opportunities. Designing and facilitating know-your-rights trainings on immigrant and workers' rights. 

Clients have included Mariposa Food Co-op, Haverford College, University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering & Applied Science, Philly Fellows, and the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) International Union.
